THE SCIENCE

At S24 Labs, we take the scientific method and combine it with a holistic methodology. We apply speed FIRST and then continually add in skilled sport application. Speed and its ability to create an 'edge' for elite athletes is universally accepted, but its definition can be somewhat ambiguous.  Our process can actually quantify the meaning of Speed and then apply it to virtually any activity set. which is why our Speed programs have become popular with athletes from a wide variety of sports.

DEVELOPMENT

S24 Labs programming is designed to improve both the mental and physical aspects of speed to maximize sustainability. In short, in order to be fast you must have unbridled strength and agility - the automatic byproduct of speed. The S24 Speed programs outlined below are recommended for all ages and sports disciplines, and will complement any sports specific training that athletes may be receiving now or in the future

Our Speed program has been developed and curated by former Olympic trials sprinter, and one of the fastest humans, Ed Lovelace. While most speed programs focus purely on top end speed, Ed has designed our program to improve the mental focus programming and physiological operating systems that makes any human fast. PROGRAM

PROGRAM

As each component of speed performance is maximized, they are gradually integrated together to produce the perfect ‘speed system’ operator. This system is continually upgraded with new data, baselines, and trends. This provides the athlete with real time performance updates to compete and dominate in competitive environments.

ADAPTABILITY

The Speed program is dynamic so that each participant can progress through the program as their own physiology dictates, milestones are achieved, and performance increases.

SPEED OPERATING SYSTEM

On average, our speed athletes spend approximately 10 months progressing through the 4 phase program. Participants can attend our in-person clinics at an S24 Labs facility or via virtual programming

TESTING & DATA

Daily, weekly, and monthly results will be tracked for each individual athlete based on their workload metrics. Athletes may participate in our S24 Labs global performance rankings to create some friendly competition, or strictly compete with themselves based on their own progression

RESULTS

For athletes training in our facilities, our industry-leading technology assesses and tracks athletes baseline and progression throughout the program. It is also used to facilitate cognitive speed training to increase mental acuity, information processing, reaction times, and hand-eye coordination

The clean-up phase masters the science of human motion and biomechanics.  Every athlete knows how to run, but this phase teaches you how to run the right way, in order to minimize stress on the body, and maximize musculoskeletal efficiency.

Aerobic conditioning utilizes standard exercises such as jogging and running. Application of these simple exercises vary in intensity, frequency, and duration. This phase trains the body’s cardiovascular system so cells can utilize oxygen to create energy efficiently.

Anaerobic training maximizes the body’s ability to operate without oxygen, recover, and go again. It is high intensity, as phases 1 and 2 are crucial for preparation. This phase is the extreme lactic acidosis mitigation phase and readies an athlete for the high test level of performance. 

This is where all previous components are integrated to produce the final result that all our athletes are looking for – the competitive edge of speed and agility in championship and post season competition.  Athletes will be retested to measure progress.
